Fernando Alonso Short biography
Fernando Alonso was born in Oviedo, Spain, on July 29, 1981. His father worked in the mining industry, while his mother was a department store employee. He developed a passion for motorsports at a young age, inspired by his father's love for karting. He began karting at the age of three and quickly showed his talent. He won numerous karting championships in Spain and Europe, and in 1999 he moved to car racing. He won the Euro Open by Nissan championship in 1999 and finished fourth in the International Formula 3000 Championship in 2000.
From 2006 to 2011, Alonso was married to Raquel del Rosario, the lead singer of the Spanish pop band El Sueño de Morfeo. They met in 2005 and married a year later, but their relationship ultimately didn't stand the test of time.
Following his divorce, Alonso was engaged to Spanish television presenter Lara Álvarez from 2015 to 2016. Their romance was short-lived, and they decided to go their separate ways.
