Lorde Short biography
Lorde (born Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor; 7 November 1996) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter. She is known for her unconventional pop sound and introspective songwriting.
Lorde gained international recognition with the release of her debut single, "Royals", in 2013. The song topped the charts in several countries and won two Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year. Her debut album, Pure Heroine, was also a critical and commercial success, selling over four million copies worldwide.
Lorde's second album, Melodrama, was released in 2017 and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. The album was praised for its mature songwriting and innovative production. Lorde has won numerous awards for her music, including two Brit Awards for International Female Solo Artist and two Grammy Awards.
