George Russell Short biography
George Russell is a British Formula One racing driver currently competing for Mercedes. Born in King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, on 15 February 1998, George Russell began karting at the age of seven. He quickly progressed through the ranks, winning numerous karting championships, including the British Open Championship, the European Championship, and the WSK World Series.
He previously raced for Williams from 2019 to 2021. Russell is considered one of the most promising young talents in Formula One, having won the GP3 Series and Formula 2 championships in his rookie seasons in both series. He made his Formula One debut in 2019 and has since secured several podium finishes, including a victory at the 2022 Sakhir Grand Prix.
