Sofia Coppola Short biography
Sofia Carmina Coppola is an American director, producer, former model, and actress. She directed The Virgin Suicides and in 2003 she won an Oscar for best original screenplay for Lost in Translation, in addition to being the third woman in history to be nominated for best director by the Oscar Academy. She is the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola. In 2011, she married the French musician Thomas Mars. They have two daughters.
