Manny Pacquiao Short biography
Manny Pacquiao was born Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao on December 17, 1978, in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines. He is the youngest of six children born to Dionisia Dapidran and Rosalio Pacquiao. Pacquiao's family was poor, and he often had to sell bread on the streets to help support his family.
Pacquiao dropped out of school after the sixth grade to pursue a career in boxing. He began training at the age of 14 and turned professional two years later. Pacquiao quickly rose through the ranks and won his first world title in 1998.
Pacquiao married Jinkee Jamora on May 10, 1999. The couple has five children together: Emmanuel Jr., Israel, Michael, Mary Divine Grace, and Queen Elizabeth. Pacquiao and his family are devout Christians, and they often attend church together.
