Kurt Angle Short biography
Kurt Angle is an American former professional wrestler, Olympic Athlete, actor and podcaster. He is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, having won over 20 championships during his career, including the WWF/WWE Championship four times and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship six times. Angle is also a two-time WWE Hall of Famer and a member of the TNA Hall of Fame.
Angle began his wrestling career in 1996 after winning a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta. He joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1998 and quickly rose to prominence, winning the European Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, and the King of the Ring tournament in his first year. Angle went on to win the WWF Championship four times and headlined multiple pay-per-view events.
Angle left the WWF in 2006 and joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he became the inaugural TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He also won the TNA King of the Mountain Championship twice and was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2013.
Angle retired from professional wrestling in 2019 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the following year. He has since pursued a career in acting, appearing in films such as Warrior and Pain & Gain, as well as television shows such as Duck Dynasty and Those Who Can't.
