Rey Mysterio is an American professional wrestler and actor. He is considered one of the most influential wrestlers of all time.
Mysterio was born on December 11, 1974, in Chula Vista, California. He comes from a family of wrestlers, and his uncle also fought under the name Rey Mysterio. Two of his cousins are also wrestlers, as are his son and nephew.
Mysterio began wrestling in Mexico at the age of 14. He was trained by his uncle, Rey Mysterio Sr., and quickly became known for his high-flying wrestling moves.
In 1992, Mysterio signed with World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in the company, and he won the WCW Cruiserweight Championship five times.
In 2002, Mysterio signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He won the WWE Championship in 2006, and he has also won the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship.
