Toni Braxton is an American R&B singer-songwriter, actress, record producer, and television personality. She is one of the best-selling female R&B artists in history, having sold over 67 million records worldwide. Toni Braxton has won seven Grammy Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards, and numerous other accolades. She was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2011 and received the Legend Award at the Soul Train Music Awards in 2017.
Braxton began her career in the late 1980s as a member of the R&B group The Braxtons. She released her self-titled debut album in 1993, which was a commercial success and spawned the hit singles "Another Sad Love Song" and "Breathe Again". Her second album, "Secrets" (1996), was even more successful, selling over 15 million copies worldwide and spawning the hit singles "You're Makin' Me High" and "Un-Break My Heart".
Braxton has continued to release successful albums throughout her career, including "The Heat" (2000), "More Than a Woman" (2002), "Libra" (2005), and "Pulse" (2010).
