Per Gessle (Roxette) Short biography
Per Håkan Gessle (born January 12, 1959) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is best known as the male half and primary songwriter of the pop rock duo Roxette, which achieved international fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Gessle's career spans over four decades and encompasses various musical endeavors. He was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Swedish pop rock band Gyllene Tider before forming Roxette with Marie Fredriksson in 1986. Gessle has also enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing multiple critically acclaimed albums.
