John Stankey Short biography
John T. Stankey is an American businessman who is the CEO of AT&T. He previously served as WarnerMedia's CEO and AT&T's president and COO. Stankey led AT&T's acquisitions of DirecTV and Time Warner in 2015 and 2018, respectively. He became AT&T's CEO in July 2020, succeeding Randall L. Stephenson.
Stankey's career in the telecommunications industry spans over three decades. He has held various leadership positions within AT&T and its predecessors, including CIO, CTO, CSO, and Group President. Stankey played a key role in AT&T's growth and transformation, including the integration of acquired companies and the launch of new products and services.
