Tidjane Thiam Short biography
Tidjane Thiam (born July 29, 1962) is an Ivorian-French businessman currently serving as the executive chairman of Freedom Acquisition Corp. He previously held prominent positions in the financial sector, including CEO of Credit Suisse (2015-2020) and CEO of Prudential plc (2009-2015). Born into a prominent political family in Ivory Coast, he holds dual Ivorian and French citizenship. Thiam is a graduate of prestigious institutions like École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris and began his career in management consulting before transitioning to the financial world.
