Omar Sy Short biography
Omar Sy is a French actor, best known for his roles in the films Intouchables, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Jurassic World. He is the first Black actor to win a César Award for Best Actor.
Sy was born in Trappes, France, to Mauritanian and Senegalese immigrants. He began his career in the early 2000s, appearing in various French television shows and films. He gained wider recognition for his role in the 2011 comedy-drama film Intouchables, which earned him the César Award for Best Actor. Sy has since appeared in several Hollywood films, including X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jurassic World, and Transformers: The Last Knight.
In addition to his acting career, Sy is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and has been involved in several charitable causes.
