Alec Baldwin Short biography
Alec Baldwin is an American actor, comedian, and producer. He is the eldest of the four Baldwin brothers, all of whom are actors. Baldwin has starred in over 100 films and television shows, and has received numerous awards, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He is perhaps best known for his roles as Jack Donaghy on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock and as Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live.
Baldwin was born in Amityville, New York, on April 3, 1958. He attended George Washington University and the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He began his acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in small roles in films and television shows. He gained wider recognition in the late 1980s and early 1990s for his roles in films such as Beetlejuice, Working Girl, and The Hunt for Red October.
In the mid-1990s, Baldwin began to star in more leading roles, including in the films Glengarry Glen Ross, The Getaway, and The Shadow. He also continued to appear in supporting roles in films such as Pearl Harbor and The Departed. In 2006, Baldwin began starring in the NBC sitcom 30 Rock, for which he won three Primetime Emmy Awards. He left the show in 2013.
Since leaving 30 Rock, Baldwin has continued to appear in films and television shows, including the films Blue Jasmine, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, and The Boss Baby. He has also hosted Saturday Night Live 17 times, more than any other actor.
