Taron Egerton Short biography
Taron Egerton is a Welsh actor and singer. He is best known for his roles as Gary "Eggsy" Unwin in the Kingsman film series, Edward Brittain in Testament of Youth, Eddie Edwards in Eddie the Eagle, and Elton John in Rocketman. For his portrayal of Elton John, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
Egerton was born in Birkenhead, England, and raised in Wales. He began acting at age 15 and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2012. He made his film debut in Testament of Youth in 2014 and gained international recognition for his role in Kingsman: The Secret Service the following year.
