Billy Crystal Short biography
Billy Crystal is an American comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director. He is best known for his stand-up comedy, his roles in films such as When Harry Met Sally... and City Slickers, and his nine times hosting the Academy Awards.
Crystal was born in Manhattan, New York, on March 14, 1948. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in the mid-1970s, and made his television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1976. In 1977, he landed a role on the ABC sitcom Soap, which made him a household name.
