Stephen Colbert Short biography
Stephen Colbert is an American comedian, writer, producer, actor, and television host known for his satirical and political humor. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1964, Colbert began his career at the renowned improvisational theater company Second City. He gained prominence as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewartd, where he developed a satirical persona parodying conservative pundits. In 2005, he launched his spin-off, The Colbert Report, which became a critical and commercial success. Colbert succeeded David Letterman as the host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2015, continuing his satirical approach while hosting celebrity guests and engaging in political discussions.
Colbert has also released a comedy album, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!, and has voiced characters in animated shows such as The Simpsons and American Dad! He is the co-author of the satirical novel Wigfield and has served as the featured entertainer for the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
