Dominic Bernard Patrick Luke Monaghan (born 8 December 1976) is a British actor, film producer, and podcaster. He is best known for playing Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck in Peter Jackson's film trilogy The Lord of the Rings (2001–2003), and Charlie Pace on the ABC television drama Lost (2004–2010). Monaghan has also appeared in films such as X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Soldiers of Fortune (2012), Pet (2016), and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), and television shows such as FlashForward (2009–2010), Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan (2012–2016), and Bite Club (2018). In addition to his acting career, Monaghan is also a podcaster and has hosted the podcast The Friendship Onion with fellow Lord of the Rings cast member Billy Boyd since 2020.
