Natalie Portman is an Israeli-American actress, producer, and director. She has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and two Golden Globe Awards. Portman is one of the world's highest-paid actresses.
Portman was born in Jerusalem and raised in the United States. She began her acting career at a young age and made her film debut in the 1994 action film Léon: The Professional. She gained international recognition for her role as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999–2005). Portman has since starred in a variety of films, including Closer (2004), V for Vendetta (2005), Black Swan (2010), No Strings Attached (2011), Thor (2011), Jackie (2016), and Annihilation (2018).
In addition to her acting career, Portman is also a producer and director.
