J.K. Simmons is an American actor, voice actor, and singer. He is best known for his roles as J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Dr. Emil Skoda in the Law & Order franchise, and Terence Fletcher in the 2014 film Whiplash, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Simmons has also had notable roles in films such as Juno, Up in the Air, Burn After Reading, and The Accountant.
