Gerard Butler Short biography
Gerard Butler is a Scottish actor, film producer, singer, and musician known for his roles in films such as 300, Olympus Has Fallen, and How to Train Your Dragon.
Butler was born in Paisley, Scotland in 1969. He studied law at the University of Glasgow, but dropped out before graduating to pursue a career in acting. He made his acting debut in a stage production of Coriolanus in 1997. He went on to appear in small roles in films such as Mrs Brown and Tomorrow Never Dies before landing his breakthrough role as King Leonidas in 300 in 2006.
Since then, Butler has starred in a number of successful films, including Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Angel Has Fallen. He has also voiced the character of Stoick the Vast in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.
In addition to his acting career, Butler is also a film producer. He has produced several films, including Machine Gun Preacher and Den of Thieves.
