Alfredo James Pacino, born April 25, 1940, in East Harlem, New York, is a legendary American actor, director, and producer. Son of Sicilian Italian immigrants, Rose Gerardi and Sal Pacino, Pacino's upbringing was modest. His parents divorced when he was two, and his mother and grandparents raised him. Despite facing financial difficulties, Pacino discovered a passion for acting at a young age. He dropped out of high school to pursue his dream, attending the prestigious High School of Performing Arts and later training at the Actors Studio under the legendary Lee Strasberg.
