Henrik Lundqvist Short biography
Henrik Lundqvist is a Swedish former professional ice hockey goaltender who played his entire 15-season career with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is widely considered one of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history.
Lundqvist was born in Åre, Sweden, and began playing hockey at a young age. He made his Elitserien debut with Frölunda HC in 2000 and quickly established himself as one of the top goaltenders in the league. In 2005, he was drafted by the New York Rangers and made his NHL debut later that year.
Lundqvist quickly became a star in the NHL, winning the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender in 2012. He was also a six-time NHL All-Star and helped lead the Rangers to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2014. Lundqvist retired from the NHL in 2020 after 15 seasons with the Rangers.
