Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg is an American actor, producer, businessman, former model, and former rapper. He is the recipient of two Academy Award nominations, three Golden Globe Awards, and nine Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Wahlberg began his career as a rapper in the early 1990s, performing under the stage name Marky Mark. He transitioned to acting in the mid-1990s and gained recognition for his roles in films such as Boogie Nights (1997), Three Kings (1999), and The Perfect Storm (2000).
