Theresa May Short biography
Theresa May served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 2016 to 2019. She was the second female UK prime minister, after Margaret Thatcher. Born on October 1, 1956, in Eastbourne, Sussex, England, she studied geography at St Hugh's College, Oxford, and worked at the Bank of England and the Association for Payment Clearing Services before entering politics. After serving in various ministerial roles under Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron, she was appointed Home Secretary in 2010, a position she held until her elevation to Prime Minister in 2016.
