Gerard Piqué Short biography
Gerard Piqué Bernabeu is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He is widely regarded as one of the best defenders of his generation. Piqué began his career at FC Barcelona's La Masia academy, but moved to Manchester United in 2004. He returned to Barcelona in 2008 and became a key player in the team's success, winning numerous major trophies, including the UEFA Champions League three times and the La Liga title eight times. Piqué also represented Spain at international level, making 102 appearances and winning the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the UEFA European Championship in 2012.
