Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American actor, businessman, and politician. He is best known for his bodybuilding career, his Hollywood action films, and his time as the 38th Governor of California from 2003 to 2011.
Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria, in 1947. He began bodybuilding at the age of 13 and won the Mr. Universe title five times and the Mr. Olympia title seven times. He retired from bodybuilding in 1980 and began his acting career.
Schwarzenegger's breakthrough role came in the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian. He went on to star in a number of successful action films, including The Terminator franchise, Predator, Total Recall, and True Lies. He has also appeared in comedies such as Twins and Kindergarten Cop.
