Zooey Claire Deschanel is an American actress, model, singer-songwriter, and musician. She is known for her deadpan comedy roles in films such as 500 Days of Summer, Elf, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Deschanel also starred in the Fox sitcom New Girl from 2011 to 2018. In addition to her acting career, Deschanel is also a successful musician. She has released six albums with her band She & Him, and has contributed to the soundtracks of several films.
