Seydoux was born in Paris, France, on July 1, 1985. She is the daughter of Henri Seydoux, a businessman, and Valérie Schlumberger, a philanthropist. Seydoux has two older siblings, Camille and Nicolas.
Seydoux began her acting career in 2005, appearing in small roles in French films. She gained international recognition for her role in the 2010 film Inglourious Basterds, directed by Quentin Tarantino.
