Micky Arison is an Israeli-American billionaire businessman and the chairman of Carnival Corporation, the world's largest cruise operator. He is also the owner of the NBA's Miami Heat, which has won three NBA championships under his ownership.
Arison was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1949. He emigrated to the United States with his father, Ted Arison, co-founder of Carnival Corporation. Arison dropped out of the University of Miami to join his father's business. He became CEO of Carnival Corporation in 1979 at the age of 30.
Under Arison's leadership, Carnival Corporation has grown into the world's largest cruise operator. The company operates a fleet of over 100 ships and carries over 12 million passengers annually. Arison is also the owner of the Miami Heat, which he purchased in 1995. The Heat have won three NBA championships under Arison's ownership.
