Paul McCartney Short biography
Paul McCartney is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and composer. He is best known as a member of the Beatles, one of the most popular and influential bands in history. After the band's breakup in 1970, McCartney pursued a successful solo career and also formed the band Wings with his wife Linda. He has written or co-written 32 songs that have reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, more than any other songwriter. He has also won 18 Grammy Awards, and in 1997 he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to music.
