Helena Bonham Carter is an English actress who has starred in over 100 films and television shows. She is known for her quirky and eccentric roles, and has been nominated for two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Bonham Carter was born in London, England, in 1966. She began her acting career in the early 1980s, and has since appeared in a wide variety of films, including A Room with a View (1985), Fight Club (1999), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), and The King's Speech (2010). Bonham Carter is also known for her work with director Tim Burton, with whom she has collaborated on several films, including Corpse Bride (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), and Alice in Wonderland (2010).
