Daniel Barenboim Short biography
Daniel Barenboim is an Argentine-born pianist and conductor who has been the general music director of the Berlin State Opera and Staatskapelle Berlin since 1992. He is also the music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre de Paris. Barenboim has won seven Grammy Awards and is known for his work with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, a Seville-based orchestra of young Arab and Israeli musicians.
