Mika Brzezinski Short biography
Mika Brzezinski is an American television host, journalist, and author. She is best known for co-hosting MSNBC's morning news program, Morning Joe, alongside Joe Scarborough.
Brzezinski was born in New York City in 1967. Her father, Zbigniew Brzezinski, was a Polish-born foreign policy expert who served as National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter. Her mother, Emilie, is a Swiss-born sculptor. Mika has two brothers, one of whom is a former U.S. ambassador to Sweden.
Brzezinski graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in English. She began her career in journalism as an assistant with ABC's World News This Morning. She later worked as a reporter for CBS News and MSNBC.
In 2007, Brzezinski returned to MSNBC and became a co-host of Morning Joe. The show quickly gained popularity and became one of MSNBC's most-watched programs. Brzezinski is known for her outspoken personality and her willingness to challenge guests.
In addition to her work on Morning Joe, Brzezinski has also published three books: All Things at Once (2010), Knowing Your Value (2011), and Grow Your Value (2013). She is also a visiting fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics.
