Pete Doherty Short biography
Pete Doherty is a British singer-songwriter, musician, actor, poet, writer, and artist. He is best known as the co-frontman of the English rock band The Libertines, which he formed with Carl Barât in 1997. Doherty has also released two solo albums, Grace/Wastelands (2009) and Hamburg Demonstrations (2016), and has collaborated with various other artists, including Wolfman, The Streets, and Frédéric Lo. In addition to his music career, Doherty has acted in several films, including Confession of a Child of the Century (2012), and has published two books of poetry and prose, The Books of Albion: The Collected Writings of Peter Doherty (2007) and From Albion to Shangri-La: Journals and Tour Diaries 2008–2013 (2014).
